              If you have received a notice to appear in Placer County Peer Court, please
              be notified of the following information below:  
              
             
    
 

          Before Court...

  • The court date on your notice cannot be changed

  • Parent/legal guardian needs to complete the parent survey to be turned in at your hearing

  • A parent/legal guardian must be present with you on your court date
                   
          While in court…

  • Always address the judge as “Your Honor”

  • Say “YES” not “yeah”

  • You will need to speak up and speak to the jury when testifying

  • You may wish to have a parent or other witness testify on your behalf

 
          After court…

  • Do not leave the courthouse until you have signed all paperwork and have spoken with a Peer Court staff member
